Exciting info for Theatre teachers statewide!
Many of us have been told for years by various and sundry confused administrators and counselors that Drama cannot count as a fine art, unless it is part of the CTE program. After attending the ADE framework rewrite, we were told this has never been true! Even though Drama fell under ELA, it is still a fine arts credit! Feel free to share with your counseolrs!

The society is committed to the advancement of educational theatre, and to this end publishes Dramatics Magazine, sponsors Thespian Festivals and theatre workshops, produces educational materials, and provides college scholarship opportunities for students.
